Welcome to Canada's IFR-Tour 2012

Your adventure will start in Regina, the capital city of Saskatchewan. Saskatchewan became a Canadian province in 1905. She was first explored by Europeans in 1690 and settled in 1774, having also been inhabited for thousands of years by various indigenous groups.

You'll do some hops eastwards, before turning north and head for Repulse Bay, in Nunavut province, the northernmost stop of your journey. Thereafter, flying southeast will get you to Toronto and St. Johns, the most eastern point of Canada. Turn north again to cross Newfoundland and Quebec, and you will find yourself in Nunavut again, Iqualuit airport this time. Back it goes via Gander and Moncton to Ottawa in Ontario. Then follows the longest flight of this tour: from Kitchener to Calgary, some 1,400nm.

After a slight northwestern turn through Alberta and British Columbia, you will finally arrive in Vancouver.

Most legs are real flights please use the given callsign, and the adequate aircraft type. On the other legs, you may fly what you like.

Enjoy the tour!

The rules of the tour are available in the MODA Lite system. This system will provide you with the tour legs, and that is where you will be able to send your flight reports and get your tour award. Once you have completed this tour, you will receive the Division IFR Tour award.
