Welcome to this new NHL Tour 2010 (National Hockey League), an association between IVAO Canada and IVAO United States. This tour is available for all IVAO members, but especially for hockey fans!
The National Hockey League (NHL) (French: Ligue nationale de hockey - LNH) is an unincorporated not-for-profit association which operates a major professional ice hockey league as a joint venture for its self perpetuating membership of 30 franchised member clubs of which 24 are located in the United States and the other six in Canada. Headquartered in New York City, the NHL is widely considered to be the premier professional ice hockey league in the world, and one of the North American major professional sports leagues. The Stanley Cup, the oldest professional sports trophy in North America, is awarded annually to the league playoff champion at the end of each season [Source: Wikipedia].
For this IFR Tour, we, in cooperation with the United States Division, have teamed up to bring you the season charter schedules of 6 NHL Teams: 3 from the Canada and 3 from United States.
For the Canada version of this tour, we offer you, as the charter pilot, the opportunity to fly the season schedule of the Montréal Canadiens, Toronto Mapleleafs or Vancouver Canuks. If you prefer USA as your base, the United States Division is offering tours following the New York Rangers, Dallas Stars, or the San Jose Sharks. You only need to choose ONE team among the six. When you have completed all the legs, you will receive the IFR tour award.
We invite you to sharpen your skates and join us across North America as you charter your favorite team from goal line to goal line in pursuit of the Stanley Cup.
This is a joint tour with the United States Division, however, each division is responsible for tracking the flights of their respective teams. To report legs for the American Teams, visit the US page of MODA Lite; for Canadian Teams, visit the CA page of MODA Lite.
