Winnipeg FIR
Winnipeg Flight Information Region
The Winnipeg FIR covers the central sprovince of Saskatchewan, Manitoba and western parts of Ontario. It shares it's boundaries with Edmonton to the North and West, Minneapolis to the south, and finally Toronto to the East.
The airspace within the FIR is varied. The southern region contains most of the low-level controlled airspace, while the northern area is mostly uncontrolled and non-radar below FL180.
